“The wish within a human being is the most powerful energy that exists.” ~ Swami Rudrananda (Rudi)
“The main requirement for spiritual growth: A yearning to know who you really are.” ~ Adyashanti
“Desire is devotion. By all means be devoted to the Real.” ~ Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
After a single taste of higher samadhi—whether as a result of our intentional training or as a spontaneous unfoldment—we burn for that expansive freedom. The desire for wholeness is innate to us all. It’s a seed planted deep within us. Enlightenment is the natural state of our authentic Self. It’s our birthright and destiny.
The longing for this realization is the spark that ignites our inner fire and activates our dormant potential. As our desire builds, our vital forces rise, and higher states of consciousness spontaneously unfold.
You can tap into the power of desire by feeling it each time you sit to meditate. Whether you experience it as a longing for liberation or a deep wish to know God, focus on it until the feeling builds. Allow it to grow until all other energies gather around it.
